グローバリズムにおける信頼関係/Trust in Globalism
グローバリズムは、国境を越えた人の移動、モノの取引、情報の共有を前提としています。このシステムが円滑に機能するためには、以下のような信頼が不可欠です。
Globalism presupposes the movement of people across borders, the trade of goods, and the sharing of information. In order for this system to function smoothly, the following trust is indispensable:
国家間の信頼: 貿易協定や国際法が守られるという信頼がなければ、企業は安心して海外進出できません。
Trust between nations: Without trust that trade agreements and international laws will be upheld, companies cannot invest abroad with confidence.
人々間の信頼: 異なる文化や背景を持つ人々が、お互いの価値観を尊重し、共存できるという信頼がなければ、移民や労働者の受け入れは社会の分断を招く可能性があります。
Trust between people: Without trust that people from different cultures and backgrounds can respect each other’s values and coexist, accepting immigrants and workers may lead to social divisions.
信頼が崩れると、グローバルなサプライチェーンは寸断され、人々は排他的になり、グローバリズムの恩恵は得られにくくなります。
When trust collapses, global supply chains are disrupted, people become exclusionary, and the benefits of globalism become harder to obtain.
ナショナリズムにおける信頼関係/Trust in Nationalism
ナショナリズムは、自国民の結束とアイデンティティを重視します。健全なナショナリズムは、以下の信頼に基づいています。
Nationalism emphasizes the unity and identity of one’s own people. Healthy nationalism is based on the following trust:
国民間の信頼: 同じ国民として、お互いの生活や安全を守り合うという信頼がなければ、社会はまとまりません。
Trust between citizens: A society cannot function if there is no trust among people as fellow citizens to protect each other’s lives and safety.
政府への信頼: 政府が国民の利益を最優先に行動するという信頼がなければ、国民は政府を支持できません。
Trust in the government: Without trust that the government acts in the best interests of the people, the people cannot support the government.
しかし、この信頼が過剰な排他性につながると、他国への不信感や孤立主義を招き、国際的な協力が困難になります。
However, when this trust leads to excessive exclusivity, it can lead to distrust of other countries and isolationism, making international cooperation difficult.
信頼関係の構築へ/Building Trust
現在、グローバリズムの負の側面（格差拡大、雇用の喪失など）に対する不満が、既存の政治や社会への信頼を揺るがしています。その結果、人々は自国や自文化に回帰し、ナショナリズムが台頭しています。しかし、そのナショナリズムが極端な形で現れると、他国との協力関係が築けず、国際的な問題解決が難しくなります。
Currently, dissatisfaction with the negative aspects of globalism (such as widening inequality and job losses) is shaking trust in existing politics and society. As a result, people are returning to their own countries and cultures, and nationalism is rising. However, when that nationalism manifests in an extreme form, cooperative relationships with other countries cannot be built, and it becomes difficult to solve international problems.
グローバリズムとナショナリズムを対立するものとして捉えるのではなく、「自国のアイデンティティや利益を守りつつ、他国と協力する」というバランスを見出すためには、個々人、そして国家間の信頼を再構築することが不可欠です。信頼なくしては、どちらの思想もその健全な側面を失い、社会の分断を深めるだけになってしまいます。
Rather than viewing globalism and nationalism as opposing forces, rebuilding trust among individuals and between nations is essential to finding a balance where we can protect our own national identity and interests while cooperating with other countries. Without trust, both ideologies lose their healthy aspects and only deepen social divisions.
ナショナリズムとグローバリズムは、いずれも人類の発展にとって不可欠な要素です。とはいえ、人類社会には歴史的に対立が絶えず存在してきた。あらゆる物事の発展には、その前提として揺るぎない「信頼関係」の構築が重要なのです。人類が真に平和や安定、そして経済的、文化的な発展を望むのであれば、戦争や対立の勝敗に腐心する以上に、「信頼関係の構築」について真剣に議論を深めるべき時代に来ているのです。
Both nationalism and globalism are essential elements for the progress of humanity. However, conflict has historically been a constant presence in human society. The establishment of an unwavering “relationship of trust” is crucial as a prerequisite for the development of all things. If humanity truly desires peace, stability, and economic and cultural development, then it is time to seriously deepen the discussion on “building relationships of trust,” rather than focusing on the victories and defeats of wars and conflicts.
