AI（人工知能）からAGI（人工汎用知能）へと、この分野の技術は急速な進化を遂げています。AGIは、幅広い知識を活用し、未知の課題にも対応できる次世代の人工知能を指します。AGIは特定の領域に限定されず、あらゆる分野の問題に対応する能力を持ち、経験から学習し進化することが可能です。これにより、医療や教育など多くの分野に変革をもたらす可能性があります。
From AI (Artificial Intelligence) to AGI (Artificial General Intelligence), the technology in this field is rapidly evolving. AGI refers to the next generation of artificial intelligence that can utilize a broad range of knowledge and respond to unknown challenges. AGI is not limited to specific areas, but has the ability to handle problems in all fields, and can learn and evolve from experience. This has the potential to revolutionize many fields, such as medicine and education.
AI技術の発展は、欧米の合理主義的思考の影響を強く受けています。この点に早くから気付いていたのが、「OpenAI」の創設者でありCEO（最高経営責任者）であるサム・アルトマンです。彼とイーロン・マスクは、偏った政治的価値観による独占の危険性を懸念しています。これらの政治的価値観とは独裁政治であり、個人や少数の政治的指導者の権益のために他の人々が抑圧される体制を指します。多くの国では異なる政治体制が採用されており、民主主義を標榜する先進国は特定の地域に集中しています。
The development of AI technology is strongly influenced by Western rationalistic thinking. Sam Altman, the founder and CEO of “OpenAI,” recognized this early on. He and Elon Musk are concerned about the danger of monopolies based on biased political values. These political values refer to autocratic regimes, in which others are suppressed for the interests of individuals or a small number of political leaders. Many countries employ different political systems, and developed countries that advocate democracy are concentrated in specific regions.
欧米に起源を持つ政治思想として、民主主義、共産主義、社会主義があります。多くの開発途上国は強いリーダーや強い国家を望み、共産主義や独裁主義を採用する傾向があります。これらの国々は反欧米、反民主主義の立場にある場合が多いです。サム・アルトマンやイーロン・マスクは、この欧米思想の対立が人工知能開発の課題であると捉えています。
Democracy, communism, and socialism are political ideologies originating in the West. Many developing countries desire strong leaders and strong states, and tend to adopt communism or authoritarianism. These countries are often anti-Western and anti-democratic. Sam Altman and Elon Musk see this conflict of Western ideologies as a challenge for artificial intelligence development.
数値化できない価値/Unquantifiable value
